Alpha Chi Omega's formals occur quarterly at a fun, surprise venue planned by our VP Risk Management and Formal Chair. We all get dressed up, invite guests, eat a delicious dinner, and hit the dance floor with our best friends!
Our "Presents" Formal occurs in Fall (and during each other quarter that we have a new member class) It is a sentimental night for our new members as it is the first formal they experience. Each new member is presented to the chapter and all of our guests by her Big Sister and gifted a red carnation, Alpha Chi Omega's official flower. Our Winter Formal is called "Crush", named after a tradition our chapter has has held for years! Our sisters invite dates to Crush Formal by sending an orange crush soda can and note to their desired date's on-campus location, and other sisters make sure to deliver this to them. It's an event everyone looks forward to! Our Spring Formal takes place towards the end of the academic year. This formal is special because for our seniors, it is the last formal they will experience as chapter members. We're always sad to see our senior sisters leave us, but are so proud of these women for completing their undergraduate education. As a special sendoff, Alpha Chi Omega crowns each graduating senior with a unique superlative at the end of the night. |

date dashes

Every quarter our chapter has date dashes, which is a planned event within the chapter where each active can bring a date to this event! Its name originates from the fact that active members are not notified of the event until a couple of days before, so members "dash" to find a date! Dates can be an active's romantic partner, a roommate, a best friend, a family member, or whomever they please. The location of date dashes are never disclosed before the event to keep is a fun surprise for everyone.

Social EVENTs
Alpha Chi Omega attends Fall Y'all every Fall quarter as a chapter for a fun night to welcome the new school year. We also host events with other sororities and fraternities on campus from a wide range of activities including joint service events, bowling, meetups at our favorite eateries around town and more.
